1. Interior tin/nickel lining is SUPPOSED to WASH OFF
For those of you complaining, you obviously do not realize the point of a copper cup for a moscow mule. The lining is only there to temporarily prevent tarnishing--so you have a pretty cup when you first receive it. This lining is supposed to be washed off prior to use, so that the bare copper is exposed to the beverage. That is the entire point of the drink. Yes, the cup will tarnish with use, also the purpose of using a copper mug.

Buyers, do not be deterred or confused by ignorant comments.

2. This mule can kick!
Wow! I remembered looking forward to Moscow Mules many years ago while working at a temporary construction job in Denver. Many miles and years later I thought back to how much I enjoyed this potent Vodka drink. I tried making a Moscow Mule in an ordinary glass but it didn't work. The copper mug was missing. This mug isn't cheap but it is worth every penny. The alloy and size are perfect. This mug allowed me to recreate this ice cold excellent drink. Even with ginger ale (instead of ginger beer), trader joes cheap vodka (instead of Absolute) and lemon (instead of lime) the mug makes the drink taste like a genuine Moscow Mule. If you want to taste the Mule then you better get the mug! Cheers!
