1. Lightweight stoneware...I love this mug!
I wanted a larger mug for tea and coffee. I was somewhat hesitant to order this Fitz and Floyd Toulouse Mug because it looks like fragile fancy ceramic dinnerware in the product image but the price was reasonable and the size was right (18 oz) so I figured I would take a chance. As you can see from the title of my review, I am very happy with my purchase. First off, the mug is big (just under 5 inches tall) and it has a handle large enough to fit my whole hand. The size is just right for my Keurig K-Cup machine...tall enough to limit splashes and short enough to see the brewing drip. I ordered the blue color and the mug arrived looking exactly like the product picture. It has a light blue mottled flower imprint with brownish highlights. The glaze is very shiny and appears to be fairly thick. The interior of the mug is solid white with a slight brownish tint. According to the product description, the mug is made of stoneware. I am the type of person who uses the same coffee mug every day. I ordered this mug to replace my last daily coffee mug, and I am really glad I did. The color is beautiful (the interior is white), the shape is graceful, it holds the absolute perfect amount of coffee for me, and, most importantly, it's sturdy without being clunky.
